BelowWe have spoken with postal carriers at length as to the meaning of this status. The below is the explanation from the postal carriers as to why can occurs.
Postal carriers may miss the initial scan when receiving it at the local San Diego terminal before sending it to the next terminal.
When this scan is missed, it can take a few business days for tracking to update until it reaches the next terminal.
Postal carriers can also have an issue scanning if the label is damaged or scuffed up while in transit to their terminal. When this happens, orders can be delivered without there being updates to tracking or tracking updates once fully delivered.
If this is the status, postal carriers can’t provide me with any further information because they have no scan in the system. USPS should have these updated within the coming business days
You can monitor these over the coming days and check with the customer if they received them.
USPS has a 15-day window from the ship date before they mark it as lost in transit.
